We are pleased to inform you that PCCI will be holding a forum on climate change entitled” Philippine Business: Meeting the Challenges of Climate Change” on September 19, 2008; 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at 19F PS Bank Hall, PS Bank Building, 777 Paseo de Roxas cor Sedeno St., Makati City.
In partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the forum will bring in Dr. Josefino Comiso, one of this year’s DOST Balik Scientist Awardees, and a senior scientist of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Cryospheric Sciences Branch, Goddard Space Flight Center in USA .
Dr. Comiso is a contributor to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which shares the Nobel Peace Prize with then US Vice President Al Gore for the “An Inconvenient Truth” documentary video about man-made climate change.
The forum will provide a presentation on the impact of Climate Change on Philippine agriculture, health, tourism and construction and how business could cope with these challenging truths.
Registration Fee is P500.00 (for PCCI members) and P800.00 for non-members.

The growing evidences attributed to climate change globally have left us with no choice but to respond to its impacts to ensure the well-being of our people.
The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) believes that the issue of climate change is a concern of everybody including the business sector.
